    Help with Smog (San Diego)

    Hi All,

I recently purchased a 1989 325 off of the forum. The motor has a chip, intake work, and aftermarket exhaust. The car fails a smog check. Looking to connect with somebody in the area that can help with a creative solution.

Please feel free to private message me as well.

    Thank you

So fixing your broken car isn't creative enough?

E30s are too old to fall under the CVN check. so this is a hardware issue and not related to that (in case somebody brings it up).

x2 for doing it the right way... paying some sketchy guy ~$400 every other year to smog it isn't worth it in the long run.

source: used to own a '76 2002 in CA for a while. In most cases it's cheaper to fix it properly and drive legally. especially in this state lol.
