yeah if I go with plan A, the manual swap I have has a much prettier 3.73 diff. I wouldn’t need lipstick for anything. It would be a proper restoration.

Here are your 3 options:
1-Do nothing = Profit
2-Mechanically Sort it = Profit
3-Restore it = Lose Money

Sell it as is : With the price of parts and labor right now, you will lose a lot of money if you restore it; and maybe if you try to do plan b on your list.
Of course, if you got it for just about nothing you might make a bit of money on doing the list under plan c. People will buy it as it sits right now, if money is what you need.

If you're in it to maximize profit, option C is the way to go.
You'll never get money spent in upgrades out of a sale. You'll never get your time back for the work you put in.

If you enjoy the process of upgrading/restoration in and of itself, and want to make a little money, then perhaps a hybrid of option B & C is appropriate.

If the end goal is to sell it, go with Option C.

With Option B, it still has rust. Doesn't matter how mechanically sound it will be. You won't get your money back on the replacement parts.
Option A only if you plan on keeping it longer term or plan on doing the work yourself, then keeping it for awhile.

Personally I would do option B. If you don't want to keep the car at all and have no intention to keep it.... Option C seems the best.
