Well, BAT will give you an answer (at least if you’re not looking for shitboxes), and you’re not gonna like it. I paid $20k cash in March for my 78k mile 325iX. Car is now at 84k miles (most of them interstate miles) and I plan on getting it to 99k miles before I liquidate. It’s had almost $10k in maintenance. Ideally I’d like the own the car until 200k miles but that’s not feasible these days with things like parts and labor costs skyrocketing every year. My MO is to buy the highest quality E30 I can get, drive it as much as possible, do the necessary maintenance and bodywork repair, and then sell it off to someone else who’ll appreciate the car for what it is. Given how most E30s barely see 1000 miles a year these days, I feel like I’ll get money’s worth if I can put 20k miles on mine within a year or two.Last edited by ZeKahr; 08-25-2023, 12:47 PM. -
other than a white mtech cabrio, and two e30m3, i've never paid more than $2000 for an e30, out of close to 200 (including cars i took apart). hard to wrap my mind around what stuff sells for today. oh well...Leave a comment:

That's EXCACTLY where my head is at. I'm on my 5th e30 since 2007 with an average cost of $1,200 a car and most of them were pretty clean. I feel like that time is long gone and the next car is gonna cost real money.Leave a comment:

Post wasn't very Chill of OP.
I can't see any timeline where I'd pay $15k for a clapped Auto M10 car.Leave a comment:

if you have any money left over from your wedding please put it towards a pack of cable ties for your next vehicle.. maybe a box of tissues too.

The BMW e30 was meant to be a bit of an executive kind of car so any mods should be done tastefully and no you aren't allowed to modify as you choose as good design is not actually subjective. This car is the opposite of that.Leave a comment:

I second this post. I see some of these cars and cringe, same with the prices. Either say OEM or OEM+, you start doing crazy aftermarket stuff then you should probably go buy a Civic.Leave a comment:

I must be turning in to a boomer because... good?
if you posted on this forum years ago with a listing that shit and a price that laughable for a beat incomplete M10 sedan, we'd flame you too.
better photos, remove useless irrelevant info in the description and list it for the $4,000 its MAYBE worth.Leave a comment:
