    E30 Parts?

I have toyed with picking up an E30 just as a fun car again. There are a few for sale around me. That being said can you get parts anymore? I sold my last 80s BMW in 2012 so I am unsure of what the part situation is like.

Sure you can still get parts, but for certain parts you’ll have to hunt for them on FB marketplace or on this forum and may have to travel. Most of the normal wear-and-tear parts you can order online. What parts are NLA depends on the specific model (318i/325e/325i/etc) and configuration (2-door/4-door/vert, manual/auto, etc) so it’s up to you to do research on this

Parts availability in 2023 isn’t what it was in 2012

parts availability still isn't too bad. a lot depends where you live. i can't even get an oil filter for an e30 local. every single thing i get is off the web.

        Still lots of aftermarket support.

Be aware some brands of previously reputable parts like Lemförder and Moog are now hit-and-miss with quality.

After going through a couple wheel bearings and tie rods on my E36, I have started buying OEM BMW parts for the jobs I don't want to do twice.

I would say that it depends on your goal for the car, and how sorted of a car you buy. Parts availability, both new and used, has dropped quite a bit IMO.
