Hi everyone, so I have my 89e30 coupe lowered on h&r sport springs all around. I recently installed wheels and tires. 8 front and 9 rears. 205/45/16 front and 22/45/16 rear. Right away I notice the rear rubbing bad in rear. So installed 15mm rear spring pads from e46. They fixed the rubbing problem but the rear sits way too high to my liking. My question is. Will I still rub if I replaced the rear pad to 10mm from condor speed? Or will I rub? I can’t roll fenders in the rear.

225/45/16 will rub in the rear with 8" ET20, at least with good tires, at stock ride height when the suspension squats/rolls, unsure about cheap-o tires that run narrow for the size. I know this because I did it myself. There is no hope of not rubbing with 9" ET15 without seriously limiting suspension travel or rolling the fenders. There are entire threads here on has fit these cars. E30 wheel fit is probably the most well documented of any car to ever have existed, everyone and their dog loves these cars, from stanceboys with their stagger and stretch, to boomer-tier collectors with their rare original options, to serious performance enthusiasts who just want the most grip they can afford.
