    Process for selling parts

Hi, I’ve been away for awhile and am still a noobie. I need to sell some parts but have some questions.
Is PayPal the preferred way to pay and receive funds?
Are the transactions, in general, trustworthy?
Do DMs and PMs appear in the message tab. I know that sounds stupid but I have very little experience with forums.
If I missed a sticky, where can I find it?

    Thank you for your help,
    Bob

Scammers everywhere on all platforms. Get proof the part is actually in their possession, cover your ass on the transaction and the shipping.
Paypal is what I prefer. Lots of newer payment platforms that I don't care to learn about the ins&outs of.
Generally trustworthy if the seller is a frequent poster, but lots of new account scammers here, and a ton of them on platforms like facebook/instagram.

PMs will appear in the message tab.

Here are a few tips...Try to sell locally. I always try to sell locally if possible to avoid having to package and ship the item which can get damaged. Also people can't claim they didn't know what they were getting. It lessens any misunderstandings and of course you get paid in cash, Zelle or Paypal friends and family. PayPal is all I used when buying online so you have some sort of protection incase the buyer doesn't ship or ships you a broken or different item. As a seller, it works well also, been around a long time and is used globally.

        What's wrong about eBay?
You're more or less protected. You have to pay fees, of course.
Take lots of pictures, so a buyer will see all defects.

only two things that suck about ebay are the fees for the seller and the absurd "ebay global shipping program" shipping times for the buyer. No idea how they make a box take a month to travel like 20 hours away, but they're very consistent.
