wish we could get that info here. we only get the last owner. you can find more but it gets pricey and involved lol

EDIT: It was last registered in Duluth, GA, and Smyrna, GA, but all the way back in 2013. Wonder if it's just a track/race car now, or if it's been written off.

EDIT: To be fair, in my situation I just got lucky. I wasn't looking for my old car at all. Just happened to look on facebook marketplace and although it was a dark picture I thought it was mine. It didn't get very far away over those 10+ years from where I used to live.

No problem, thanks for checking! No reply from anybody yet. The trail is currently dead at ///MDex and the last GA registration in 2013.

///MDex also left his email... he should respond to that getting you at least one step closer...

Like the duce said, I hope you can find it and get it back.

Outside of a carfax like service to start to narrow the search, I'm not sure what a Private Investigator would charge for a vehicle? I'd think it should be cheap because it takes maybe an hour of their time?
I'd think they could get into a database similar-esque to law enforcement to get closer to finding the current owner. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Looking on bummerforums it went to (///MDex) after Josh K.
He then listed it for sale: https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...mp-Reliable-NC

There was a very intersted party wanting it here: https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/m...1-B-m-double-u
Or perhaps it sold local to MDex guy.

Maybe start with a carfax to find where it was last registered, then start posting in any sort of local to that area forum/facebook/other?

It'd be so cool if you were to find it. Good luck man!

I just sent a screenshot of this post to a local guy here in socal who bought a sterling 325i a couple years ago. I doubt it's the same car, but you never know!

ninja edit: Heard back from him. Sorry TJ - not the same car.

Looking to track down and hopefully buy back my first car (someday, at least). I lost track of it around 2008 after Josh K sold it. Last I heard it had become a track car.

It's a sterling silver 1990 325i coupe. It had some distinct mods at the time, like DTM style cup mirrors and Alpina fabric centers on sport seats, that could be long gone.

    VIN: WBAAA2318LEC51650

Any leads would be greatly appreciated!
