    Source for stepper motor

Hey all Hoping someone can help me out.

I am restoring the original cluster on my '86 es.
Mostly it is all functional, but my odometer is broken.

It's not the gears. replaced. They were replaced many years ago and are still fine.

The problem is the small wheel twitches when actuated on my bench with the driven gears disconnected.

Measuring the 3 posts gives me 5M Ohm on one pair, 75 Ohm on the other. This is on the actual posts, not the solder joint.

My options seem to be a.) eBay a broken speedo, and strip the motor. b.) source a working speedo ( replacing my current VDO).

    Thoughts?

There may be a couple of other options; Gregs///M does cluster repairs and probably have parts, and the parts in those VDO gauges are not quite bespoke so you may be able to find a VDO unit from another car that is more common or cheaper on ebay and salvage the motor from it.
