You know?

Why else would he contact the owner of a car that's rare, sitting behind his friend's shop, pull the motor (for free?), drop it into his perfect e30 & then document his install here on this forum? Of all the places he's called, no one's ever done it before, so he wants us to tell him how to do it.

By the way, I did do this swap & I was going to post here how to do it, but I have to go play with my friends in the real world. You know, the ones that aren't on the interweb & who have a life outside of the computer village you guys seem to hide in. Besides, my friends do not write essays here in cyber land where people give their opinions about things which don't make sense & probably aren't legal but who cares, I know more then you know, or at least my friends do because they are not only younger they are smarter then you. Even though they have not lived as long as you. Oh yeah, they are also better looking & have nicer clothes then you, even though they have not had enough time to learn how to dress appropriately.

      bwahaha! best post ever!

Is that before or after you put your violin back in it's case, and close your instructions on how not to get laid?

Yes, but that's just because I'm inheriting Blunt's weakness for little boys. his shaved sack will do that to a man...

Wow I'm amazed by you, joehasane30. How old are you seriously? Enter college at 18, 3 semesters of calc and 2 of physics so 1.5 years, then drop out of engineering and 2 semesters of art so another year. Finally undeclared and automotive classes. So your around 21? Your stupidity and arrogance left me speechless throughout the thread. I sincerely hope you leave and never come back. Its people like you that fill forums full of useless bullshit that never needed to happen in the first place. Quit posting until you can come back with a picture of an s38, you flipping me the bird, and your e30 in the background. Then, maybe then, I will believe you...or I might just yell photoshopped...

Thank you kindly for reading my essay and have a nice day.
In case you were wondering I'm younger than you and have made it further than you did in Mechanical Engineering. If I were to talk and act like you do, I would hope to god someone would have beaten my ass by now.

Oh and blunt, you are my hero.

So that was it? No prying the hood open, no tow truck, no nothing? This guy ran off pretty darn fast.

IMO ,, because i have been there and DONE THAT,,,

S38B3x is many times worse idea vs S50 ((if EURO engine is available,, take that engine anyday))

The engine is HUGE,,,,,, in volumu inside the engine bay,,

it use a lot more fuel vs, S50

Radiator must be a CUSTOM made ,, in most casaes,, and damned well thought out..

engine subframe MUST be lowered ((there is another option,, but not worth it ))

E34 M5 Brake booster or 325 ix bosster are also must ,, but you have to re-make the oem holes in the firewall (drill new holes to left ca 15 mm from oem holes)

                          300mm negine mounts........

I had a lot of minor problems when this was done,, and $$$$$$$$$$

but good luck if you do it

if you commit to it, im sure it can be done.

The S38 swap in an E30 is a neat idea in theory, but the weight, the size, having to fabricate custom parts/source them from a variety of vehicles, and of course the general expense of properly maintaining an S38 make it seem like a very unusual choice compared to the obvious S5x. It can be done, and plenty of people have done it, but the OP exhibits none of the skills necessary for starting up any vehicle (let alone swapping a motor.) I can see James Criv getting it done, as it requires lots of research and a healthy allotment of money, but the OP, that's another story.
