BTW my brother in law is a cop in Canada, and he has made it very clear that NO-ONE tickets for 20km or 15mi over, so you must have been going very fast...

Well I was going 120 in a 100 zone and if you think that a well maintained 1990 325i is not capable of traveling at that speed safely why would anyone own one?

I never said that you have to speed but I think that speed limits are set low not to protect the public but as a way of generating money. I also don't think that driving at 120 in a 100 zone is dangerous.
