I'm in Canada so no Series 7... although our test is pretty much the same... It's a bitch but if I can do it so can most people. They make it hard to filter out the morons but if you study hard (10 hrs per day) it can be done in a month or less.

Going in on Tues and Weds this week for a few days of "dry-run" to do framing construction with a friend of mine. I got offered the job, and before I quit my other job, they want me to come work a couple of days to make sure I like it. This is just until I get my tattoo license, which may not be for about another 6-8 months, but in the meantime, I'll get to work my ass off, get in shape, and save a bunch of money for my E30.

Might as well add my current job / future career path.

Current job: BMW poster @ local dealership. Drive dirty cars to carwash, return clean ones to customers. Work whenever I am in town/home. Being able to come in late, hungover, or every couple of weeks.....priceless.

Career: Supervisor at a pharmaceutical company. Then moving up the corporate ladder. Hopefully landing an internship this summer. (Friend's dad is the VP for a growing company in pharmaceuticals)

Parttime/side projects: Real estate investing; Hopefully owning a shop/dealership/car company.

And they sensor websites? That sucks, we have no such filtering. I'm always too busy to ever log onto forums from the wicket, though. :x

Yeah, it's a pain. The bank used to be Franklin National Bank, and they sold to 5/3. They are pretty strict around here, but this site, vwvortex and theforce.net (yes I like Star Wars) work here. As do cnn.com and ebay...but that's about it. It sucks but at least I can throw 75% of my day away on here and learn stuff....

Hey, it's less work than being in school full time and working there. ;)

I doubt the are giving you a "dry run" to see if you like it. They are most likely seeing your productivity, especially when framing.
