So what will you be driving when you get your license back Josh?
And I can't quite understand using school tuition money towards car, whether its mods or not...
You should never borrow money to buy a car - much less use student loan money. Cash is the only way to go.
are you silly? how many cars have you paid for in cash and what were they?
My bet is that you have not gotten a car for more then 5K
FYYFF, you would lose that bet.
2001 Lexus is300 - bought for cash last December (after taxes, a little over20k)
Wife's 2000 Toyota Sienna XLE, bought for cash last February (after taxes, 18-19k)
my 1987 325ic, bought for cash in 2001 (actually that was WELL under 5k)
The others under 5k included an older Supra, and two Toyota Corollas.
I borrowed money to buy two cars in the past and I will never do it again. Oh, and there is nothing wrong with buying a good car for under 5k.
dude with intrest reates where they are its not a bad idea to borrow money for cars.
depending on where his wife is getting her loans...it def worth it I think government student loans are like 2-3% if im not mistaken. Credit is good for the economy even personal........instead of tieing up 20K right now and saving what 5% intrest you can invest it somewhere else and potentally get a higher return on it. but to each his own.
I take back about you not paying for expensive car in cash...... although the last three cars I got were all payed in cash i have financed in the past and I dont see anything wrong with it, but not everyone has that luxuary you know?
