So I was at work today (I work at Target) and I heard an announcement over the speakers asking if the owners of the cars with lisence plate A and B would come up to the front. I didn't pay attention of course because I never listen to those stupid messages. Furthermore, I have chronic migraines, and I had felt one coming on all day, so I was looking forward to lunch to take a break from work.
I should have realized something terrible was going to happen. As I walked out to my car (I had parked farther away from the store) I noticed as I saw it through all the other cars that it was perpendicular to the parking spot, and I was thinking "what the hell happened?"
As I walked towards it, I noticed that there was a silver honda accord right next to it with the back and front smashed to bits, and to my horror, it had hit the back and side of my car and essentially destroyed it. There was a guy standing there, the owner of the honda, who explained what happened.
An old woman in a BMW X3 had tried to park, but rather than hitting the brake she stomped the accelerator, smashing into his accord, which in turn smashed into my car, and she carried on halfway across the lot before screeching to a halt. He had come out about 5 minutes before me from shopping to see that same scene I was now witnessing. I swear I had tears in my eyes looking at my car, I could barely talk to my girlfriend on the phone I was choked up.
I just spent 6 months putting an m30 in this car only to drive it for a month to have someone smash into it. THe police were there, and they had already filled out a report, and there were 2 witnesses, so there should be no problem with the insurance. I'm basically in shock right now and I'm 90% sure they're going to total the car and give me jack shit for it.
