You should look for e28 533i cars... same motor. Keep in mind that the SA 333i had an Alpina cam and some other goodies.

Also I think the Aluminum fenders and hood are NLA.

I'm going to worry about Alpina Tuning my M30 later. You guys have to understand that my e30 is my daily driver. I need to get to work, and coming this sept.. school! So I have to get moving on this quick. It will start out as a simple M30b32 swap. Then the Alpina goodies will start to come.

It sounds mediocre, but because the instrument clusters on e30's are so faulty, my temp gauge reads incorrectly. It blew because of old age, and the fact that on the way back from Monterey, it apparently overheated. A strong little engine to finish the drive after overheating. It still drives too. I drove it to the mechanic and everything. It just made a popcorn like noise. The M10 has seen it's last days.

the engine management for the 3.2L motors is crappy. many of them suffer from erratic idles, and coolant temp problems, that can put the car in 'limp mode' [no power, eat gas] I had a '83 533i that went a week or so with the idle at 2200-2500rpm. Fixed itself, but pissed me off.

i would suggest an m30 from the e34 line of cars

Is this the same 318i that you have meticulously kept OEM?
