Would you trade your e30 for a non bmw?

Well, as fate would have it, i am gonna be a father within the next 12 days, if the fetus decides to leave his man cave. I cant imagine using the e30 to be a grocery getter or baby hauler, so i am looking at either selling it, or trading it.

My eyes are set on a 4-dr thats sporty and fun. i recently came upon a 02 jetta 1.8t with decent miles and family friendly, and even better, the fiance likes to drive it too. I guess the 5spd e30 never sat well with her.

So would you trade in your decent e30 for another car? if you have, what for and why? if not, why not?

      Edit: /\ This. End thread.

I would trade, but never to accommodate kids. They can squeeze into the back seat for all I care.

My son doesnt need to be cramped up in a small coupe with no a/c and as low as a 18-wheeler gas tank.

I was just messing with you. If I was in your position, It would suck.

I had an E36 prior to the E30, and It wasn't bad. I like the looks of an older car, but everything else was fairly well matched.

oh, sorry for the attitude then. now adays on r3v, everyone is serious about the sticks in the arse.

I dont see it as it sucks. there is a time when i need to be a man and provide, and other times i need to be a man and have fun, for the next four of five years, i want to be the man to provide for his family.

money pits will always be around.

              Anyone else?

                Depends on the car.

But definitely not for a VW.

I would trade it in for an Odyssey. Killer power (244 hp), i-VTEC gets 25mpg highway, and plenty of room for a growing family. Throw on some sway bars for a little flatter cornering attitude.

Unless it's under warranty VW parts are expensive!

WTF? You would trade an e30 for an e36? Why would you want a heavy ridiculous pig?

I'll trade my e30 for an e30 M3 or Porsche. Or maybe something brand new so I can sell it and buy more e30's.

Ha. I just hate working on the newer VW's. Old cars FTW. I like my cars the same as my women; If you don't have 2 decades on you, get it out of here.

I saw a bad ass odyssey the other day. It was murdered out.
