or any of the other 1950s, 60s and 70s cars my parents drove, that sometimes didn't have seatbelts, or crumple zones and defnintely not airbags.

and yet somehow I'm still alive. it's amazing..
      i agree 100%. i would rather be hit a 69 cadillac than a 2006 corolla.

also i have 2 kids and still drive an e30, the wife has an e34. its alot easier to get the little guy in and out of the e34, but the e30 works fine as well, and i have the recaro baby seat for the e30.

Kids these days are pussies. I got wheeled around in the back of an '02, an e21, a MKI Scirocco and other tiny cars. I'm still alive.

Maybe for a Lancer Evo VII or an STi or possibly a Pontaic GTO but I can's see anyone willing to trade.

So who wants to trade and what do they have?

yea for real, what decent newer car are you going to get in a trade for a e30?

just keep it as a fun/man car, and get yourself a crown vic or something- dirt cheap parts, big as fuck, not to slow either.

Pfft, I have an e30 because its safe among other things. They're from back in ye day, when cars were made of steel and not plastic and didn't have shit that blew up in your face.

I rode around in old SAABs (pretty fucking safe) and a Porsche 914.

I just paid mine off (02 GTI 18t) before I bought my e30 and have had to drop probably almost 10k into it. Turbos, wiring harnesses, ECUs, MAFs, the list goes on and on and on....

Sure, they are a ton of fun to drive, but that's it! never again will I waste my money on a VW.
I have had friends drive Vdubs for years, and the only time they ran into problems was when they starting modifications. sounds like you just got the big green wheenie of life in your wallet.

This vdub has all its records through a local vw dealership. i called just to check on what recalls it still needed and it was always on time when it needed it. Interior is roomy, quiet and comfortable. Exterior needs a good cut buff and polish. rust at all, very well maintained.

Just because your on the internet doesnt mean you can cut down on every other car YOU (anyone on r3v) dont have, never had, never drove, cant afford, or refuse to buy. Everyone has their opinions to things. there is no such thing as a car that doesnt need maintnace, attention, or parts. If you think so, sorry to burst your bubble. if you want something that you can control and maintain yourself? use your feet.

Sure i can use a truck. i have one. Its a gas guzzlin hog that is a bit high. I am not trying to be some macho family man, but i wont be the guy who makes my family suffer, either. My fiance has a really bad knee which makes getting in the truck AND e30 a pain for her, and i have some bad lower back problems, so i dont want to imagine having to put my child in or out of a carseat in a coupe e30, sorry. I want something more reliable so i dont have to worry about my roughly 300000mi car breaking down on a winter night. sorry.

So back on topic this time, what non-bmw vehicle would you trade a e30 for?

i traded my excellent red '90

                      for this:

and it's a great car. I've bought other e30s since then though, to fill the gap :)

I was looking to trade mine when I had my kid. But theres nothing I found that I liked more than my E30. Car seat and everything fits fine in my car. The only thing I would get rid of my car for would be a tahoe or a E34 touring.

I looked at jettas & GTIs None of them are what I wanted. the only VW worth trading for would be a MKII I almost traded for one but he sold it the same day I said lets trade.

because earth is filled with other makes and models, not just bmw's.

Is it you or her that has to drive it everyday? Unless your 5' tall, the standard truck height is 10x easier to get in and out of, and its a perfect height for the babyseat.

IDK.. whats your e30 worth.. how much are you looking to spend.. cash or finance.. newer or older..do you have credit... drivetrain preference.. Does it need special lower back massagers to prevent you from crying...

And you wonder why its OT, your not giving us anything. Only you know what you want in a car, so go test drive a few. Im beginning to think your trolling.
