I just paid mine off (02 GTI 18t) before I bought my e30 and have had to drop probably almost 10k into it. Turbos, wiring harnesses, ECUs, MAFs, the list goes on and on and on....
Sure, they are a ton of fun to drive, but that's it! never again will I waste my money on a VW.Comment

oh, sorry for the attitude then. now adays on r3v, everyone is serious about the sticks in the arse.
I dont see it as it sucks. there is a time when i need to be a man and provide, and other times i need to be a man and have fun, for the next four of five years, i want to be the man to provide for his family.
money pits will always be around.
Anyone else?
whats with all the gheyness in this place lately?
if you were a "man" and "providing" you wouldnt be in a situation where you have to sell your 500 dollar e30 to get another 500 dollar VW!
a jetta is really going to turn you into "The provider of the year!!!!"
buy what you want--- but you will regret it later-- unless it really has to do with A/C!
wtf???? e30s were new at one time too, and plenty of kids were transported around in them then too--- when my daughter was born I bought an e30 touring for the wife- had a 2.7, headers, slammed and 9x16" wheels-- my daughter is still alive.
just my 2 cents,
but keep your toys-- your kid is going to grow up no matter what car you have, but if you have a car that you don't like your not going to be happy.Comment

when i was a child we were made to squeeze into miatas and e21's. ps i have 4 siblings. trust me, they will have a love for your car, and all those childhood memories. we had the e21 until the floor fell offOriginally posted by Lof84 doors allow you to transport more whores.
therefore, their value is much greater.Down to: 89 aw2 332i/4/5 , 70 Sahara 2002
