that's not entirely true, I've filled up cars at AM/PM before that would barely even run on their shit (it's watered down quite a bit).

i also mix a couple gallons of super 98 or 110 with my fill-up... i think people should consider this at some point... a 5 gallon jug in the garage costs maybe 20 bucks to fill or less.... and if you're running a chip you might be going semi-lean in places...solves detonation problems... a cheap fix and the car runs better at high rpms, which hopefully we all see regularly...PNW Crew

-car doesn't run more rich, but it does solve detonation (particularly at high RPM's). Just because a chip is designedfor a specific gas requirement doesn't mean it won't have places in the fuel map that can hurt your motor. I've seen cars with stock engines and a JC chip plug into a scope and there was detonation... when i had my 2.3 liter engine, and a chip, my mechanic had fixed something one day and took it out to test drive it, he heard pinging, and i didn't have any internal engine mods and it was on a chip that was "supposed" to be safe on 91 octaine... could have been a bad batch of gas or whatever else, but it does happen.
- i don't know where you're buying your gas... it's about 2.10 here for Chevron 91, which is the best i can get here in oregon. Super 98 race gas at the local distributor is about 3.05 a gallon...
- I don't have a cat... and i'm not worried about it hurting a borla muffler, nor a stock one for that matter...your engine burns hotter, cleaner... especially if you're running an un-leaded higher octaine gas... if you're right then how do the Euro guys get away with 98 ron + ???PNW Crew

Semi on this subject anyone know if there is a BP or affiliated station in Laredo, Tx.?
I tried to look on their site and got nowhere. I have a 5.00 gas card from them and would like to use it next trip.
Thanks
