I DD IE3's and bilstein sports. No complaints about ride quality...definately stiff but not bone jarring. Then again, if I wanted cushy, I'd get some big 60 profile tires...and a 7 series.
Need help determining new suspension.

I've considered HR Race or IE3s as well. The girlfriend doesn't think the S52 with the 550/750 on Koni SAs is bad (I suspect it's because it's low enough the 350/500 were bouncing off the bump stops), so I'm not too worried about that.Need parts now? Need them cheap? steve@blunttech.com

The Vogtlands are nice inexpensive option reasonably stiff and DD able. For every day use I'd run a set again. I sold mine recently, installed my old M3 as suitable replacements to get some ride height.Comment

why are you so afraid of coilovers? GC springs and perches are $400. drop in springs are a waste of money and time, IMO, unless you just want the look. I don't see how that would cost $1500 either.
also I don't know of those drop hats are the same ones that were out 7 years ago or so, but they were junk. you had to grind the shit out of them just to make them fit. And then you have the added travel issues with stock length strut inserts.Comment
