I agree that it is annoying when people go slow in the left lane, but I dont think e30smiley was going slow.

It's irrelevant. You don't cruise in the left lane...at any speed. You use it to pass and then move back over to the right. That's why it's called the "passing lane."

Whenever I come up on someone going slow in the left lane my passenger usually says just go around them but I always stay behind them for a few minutes and even give a flash of the lights.

The whole point is that you shouldn't have to flash your lights at someone going slower than you in the left lane because they shouldn't be hanging out in the passing lane to begin with. This law is enforced everywhere in the world...even in third world countries. Only in America are drivers too stupid and self-absorbed to understand the basics of highway use.

Thank God the police have finally started ticketing people for this. It's a much, much bigger safety issue than going 10 mph over the speed limit or whatever bullshit they generally focus on. Keeping Sunday drivers out of the passing lane is the single most significant thing they can do to keep traffic flowing smoothly and safely.

eff all that noise, I just go in whatever lane that is the smoothest, even if it means having to slow it down and drive in the slow lanes behind a slow moving vehicle.
