my m42 was my very first car bought it b4 i even had a licence, cops almost stripped me of it. after i had my licence only drove it for a year then had kids and couldnt afford insurance. i havnt drove it in 5 years and still cant wait until the day i can. dont ever sell the m42 it still is a part of bmw heritage and is perfectly desihned for its purpose

Yes, I do...It handles nicely (will soon handle better), but it's not "fun to drive" It doesn't have enough power (never will). And it doesn't have enough braking power (but I don't really care).
And it doesn't suck, because I have a Z32 twin turbo that I have plenty of fun driving; it accelerates, stops, handles and corners better than my m42 probably ever will. That being said, the things I enjoy most about my 318 are the comfort, reliability and ease of maintenance....all three of which the Z falls short on.

Not so much comparing as stating that it doesn't suck that I don't have fun in my 318. I have something else to have fun with.
