Stupid things that PO's did to your car

My PO actually did a good thing and put bilsteins all around
but he also cut the flanges off the exhaust and welded on straight pipes, so now to reach my driveshaft I have to take it off after the headers. and he also thought gorilla glue would help everything out, but instead he just glued in my driving lights/side markers for some reason. Just dumb little things here and there that are very inconvenient.

Worst I've found so far is the 70A breaker in place of the blower motor fuse. Melted the fusebox last week. Awesome. I've only had the car 2 weeks though.- Josh

Oh I also forgot when the PO had my Alpine 318iS car he'd driven into/over something and tore off the muffler. So to fit the fartcan "muffler" on he let some drunk take a Sawzall to the opening in the valence, the result is I had to use a single in dual out muffler to use up the "added" space.

My 91 318I 4 Door M-Tech
Where to begin....
I'll start off with 20 years of neglect and a PO who the whole odd 2 years he had it drove it maybe 6 times certainly didn't help.
Every single vacuum hose is held together by duct tape. Missing sections? Oh triple wrapped duck tape will fix that.
No belt on the power steering and a bone dry res....
Need a new rack to fix that one. ^^^
AC? Compressor is currently locking up...
I'll let a shop install my aftermarket radio in 1994. QUICK CONNECTS EVERYWHERE!!!!
The trunk leaks. Bad body breather and seal, won't be here from Germany till March.
Finicky blinker stalk. "Oh hai officer I didn't mean to constantly flash my high beams at you, my car just wanted to say hi."
*Cruseing down the road* *Ping!* "WTF was that?!" Instant fart can status kickin yo!
Brake lining sensors- Who needs them? I do and I certainly do not like finding them cut off and tied to the sub frame.
"Oh I had a blow out, I'll put some new tires on it." Inner fender walls, side of the M-Tech valence, and the metal valence destroyed because of new, BIGGER tires.
I don't even know where to begin to get the blower motor to work right. On #3 motor, #4 resistor, and shit still has a mind of its own.
"My hood has lots of hail damage, Oh they painted it straight black, not metallic black like the rest of the car, I guess I'll get Maacco to paint it the same even though there isn't anything wrong with the old paint."
Whoops no reverse lights, the drive shaft finds them tasty. I about had an assault charge on me when that bleach blonde in her truck ran into my rear bumper.
Do you really need a front sway bar? OH YOU DO? Guess I'll get new end links.
PSH who needs brake pads. I still have the backing plates of the pads left.
"Grills are the best way to hold need a headlight."
I should have taken a fucking picture of that one...^^^
I don't have a power antenna normally, but when I do I prefer a broken one.
Honestly if it wasn't for the fact my car is dual tone under the M-Tech I would have ripped it off by now and cut my losses and found another E30.

1986 318i:
- had the front muffler replaced with a 60mm tube and the rear muffler with a cheap-ass sport muffler for "better flow". It was unbearably loud and somehow performance and fuel economy also increased by swapping back a stock one.
- replaced engine mounts with ones for an M20. The engine was tilted slightly backwards.
- air filter was dirty, so he removed it.
- installed the cheapest pioneer stereo with rear speakers slightly bigger than stock, so he cut away what was in the way and it looked like trash. Wasn't even fixed in place, they occasionally jumped out.
1987 325e:
- fitted wrong intake manifold gaskets, which covered a huge part of the intake ports.
- propably never changed oil. Heavy camshaft wear, incredible amount of gunk in the intake.
- original 1987 distributor cap, misfiring all the time.
- 17-year-old rotor.
- 20 year-old fuel filter.
- all o-rings ever removed (thermostat housing, crankcase vantilation tube, etc...) were substituted with silicone-glue.

The PO removed the gas tank, cut it in half and sealed it off so only the passenger side of the tank would hold gas. He then welded the tank back together. Next he put the tank back in the car and cut an access door, which opened and closed with an actuator into the driverside of the tank thru the floor of the car. It took me about a month after buying the car to find it.

Well, my cars Po was shot at and my car was hit in the drivers side "C" piller right behind the vent, and then he was in volved in a drunkin fatal accident to which the hole front end needed rebuilding..
When I lowered my car I began pulling apart the rear suspension and found a large clump of long blond hair with what I thought was scalp attacehed to the lower shock mount..
Knowing the past of this car it took the better part of a 12pack before I could finish the car...https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar...re-irs.356333/
