Its hard to asses Vetel as he has never been in a car that was slow at any point, however one needs to only look at how he is in the rain to see how talented he truely is.

I wouldn't really call the Toro Rosso a fast car, especially a few years ago. I seem to remember him winning a race at Monza in it, and running in the top 3 at Japan. He also passed Hamilton and almost cost him the Championship in Brazil in the Toro Rosso.

You can't say Hamilton is better than Alonso because of his first year at McLaren either, McLaren hated Alonso half way through the year, and it was him versus the world. Hamilton, the posterboy of McLaren, is not even beating his teammate, a guy who many thought was talented but would never be a winner.

I base my assessment that Alonso is more talented than Hamilton based on one skill: rolling burnouts on warmup. When I walked Circuit Gilles Villenueve two days after the GP you could easily tell which stripes were Fernando's. HUGE side-to-side action.

(okay, I don't think that is a good test, but those were impressive)

Apparently not because he shut his engine off so he still had fuel left for the stewards to test. I thought the driver had to make it back to his box. Nothing has been said on the F1 site or any others about it either.

Looks like it will be quite an interesting race. I can't wait :D

Yea, he must have been pretty upset with his race, he was on the softer compound tyre for half of it. What was your take on the Hamilton and Alonso pit lane incident?

The first 20-25 minutes of the race were great, very entertaining

alonso should of won, traffic held him up and allowed the two mcmercs passed but thats how it works
