In Hungary q3 they were stacking their pistops and alonso just sat in the pit box for at least 15 seconds so Hamilton could not get another lap in. That was the beginning of the end with mcclaren. He was going out of his way to screw the team because they were not favoring either driver.

If anything McMerc was favoring Alonso until he pulled that stunt, granted Hamilton is no choir boy.. But after Hungary it was everyman for himself, or no team orders if you will. I guess he was pissed a rookie was driving as well as him. Dont get me wrong Alonso is prob one of the best 5 drivers there is right now, if not the best. But he is certainly shady at best.

I would much rather see Weber or Vettel win the championship then someone with the character of Alonso, who had to have a teamate let him by to get where he is,,, it must be the purist in me.

If you want to argue about this shit then go bump the 2007 F1 thread and go read the Alonso/Hamilton debates. You will realize that you are wrong. I would put you and may others like you in your place there.

Besides. Alonso is a different person all together now and it seems that him and Hamilton have a good relationship now.

That's all fine and dandy but I would rather see weber or vettel win o wise one. Since I don't have a personal relationship with him I guess I have failed to see the change since last year. Either way it will be an exciting race on what is a boring track. Also things seem to be moving along on the Austin track which is good news. If anyone near Austin has a spare bed would you mind if I crash there in June 2012. How hot is it in June in Texas?

Well, I walked the Montreal track & stood on his wicked warmup tire stripes. I'm pretty sure that makes us best buds.

I know this might be way, WAY off topic, but its F1 related...

Alain Marie Pascal Prost Ruiz, born February 24, 1955 in Saint-Chamond, Loire, France, from an Armenian mother is one of the most successful Formula One drivers of all time.

                    that is all!

I thought last year's race was fairly exciting so I wouldn't really say Abu Dhabi is a boring track, it just lacks character.

I am hoping against hope for Vettel to take the championship, though with McMerc all but out of the running I will not be devastated by any outcome, as even if Hamilton wins the championship at least it would be an awesome story.

I obviously would like Alonso to take it as he is my favorite driver, but deep down I think I would rather see it go to Webber. He has more than earned it this season and stayed positive despite being labeled publicly as #2 by Redbull... There is a reason Horner will not do team orders, he wants Vettel to win, and its pretty obvious.

If we look past all the Ferrari drama about team orders I think you will see it is a lot more sinister at Redbull than it seems. They should have backed Webber and solely Webber 2 GPs ago.

You may be very right with that statement, RBR is now stuck in a situation where they have to stick to their creed of no team orders. They softened the line by saying the drivers will do what is right, ie... possibly let webber by if it should come to that, but it would be at Vettels discretion. To me I think it makes future seasons for RBR interesting because if that is their philosophy it stands to reason it will always be that way, regardless. I seriously doubt this will be the case. Either way its good for us the fans of F1.

Rant: In truth I am hoping for Kubica to pull a win out of his ass. I really hope he eventually gets to drive for a top teir team, or a championship calibur car. Everything looked so promising in 09 testing and then BMW fucked him by stoping development of the car( while everyone was saying hes a cry baby, only to learn BMW was pulling out of the sport, you can thank engine development bans) I so wish their would have been a breakaway with the teams from F1. I think he has the talent to be up with the big boys he just needs a good ride.

I still have a beef with Webber ever since his American-bashing comment during the 2005 USGP. I would like to see him fail.

It was the year of Indygate. You had 100,000+ fans that had come from all over the world to see a race. There was no race, just a parade for Bridgestone tires. Fans got upset & pretty restless. The Indiana State Police were brought in by the dozens to thwart off any potential riot (and there WAS potential...you could feel it). Webbers comment to the press was essentially "Huh. Throwing trash & turning violent. It's what I expect from the Americans."

I personally lost $1000+ on the weekend (I took a group out). I didn't throw any trash or punch anyone. His comment didn't sit too well with me.
