Brazil has its problems. It's not THAT bad, but then again.... I'm not surprised. I can assure you many other brazilians aren't either. Pretty shameful though

^^^ probably the dust off the track. Now off to Abu Dhabi for the 3 horse hace between Alonso, Webber and Vettel.

Off the bat, I will say Hulkenberg tried but was no match for RBR. Once they passed, he worked is ASS to block Alonso for the first 5-6 laps. Massa in the background was taking a beating from everyone towards the end. Surprisingly, most of the cars giving Massa hell were renault powered.

I also read that DiGrassi, and some other people from other teams were getting mugged as well. THAT, is downright dangerous.

Anyway, hats off to rbr for letting them race, and the constructors champ.

For Hamilton to win the Drivers' Title at Abu Dhabi, here's what would have to happen based on the point standings after Brazil....

Hamilton scores a win for 247 points
Vettel finishes no better than 3rd for 246 points
Webber finishes no better than 6th for 246 points
Alonso fails to get points or DNFs for 246 points

Very tall order for Lewis....file this scenario under "wishful thinking."

Mathematically Vettel is still in contention as well, but for him to become World Champ, he too will need a miracle like Hamilton. At this point, it is going to be either Webber or Alonso. Listed below are the possible podium finishes along with total points for the season. The bold text is what I believe is the most likely outcomes.

                    1st Alonso = 271
                    2nd Webber = 256
                    3rd Vettel = 246

                    1st Alonso = 271
                    2nd Vettel = 249
                    3rd Webber = 253

                    1st Webber = 263
                    2nd Alonso = 264
                    3rd Vettel = 246

                    1st Webber = 263
                    2nd Vettel = 249
                    3rd Alonso = 261

                    1st Vettel = 256
                    2nd Webber = 256
                    3rd Alonso = 261

                    1st Vettel = 256
                    2nd Alonso = 264
                    3rd Webber = 253

Basically, for Webber to be WDC, he must win with Alonso doing no better than 3rd. If Vettel wins, Alonso is the champ whether he gets 2nd or 3rd. Will RedBull pull a 'Ferrari a la Germany' and give team orders to Vettel so they can take home both trophies?

Frankly i dont know why they didnt pull Ferrari style team orders and allow Webber to win. Kinda dumb IMO, if Ferrari got away with it im sure they would let Red Bull do the same.

Either way its going to be a big race to the finish AGAIN in F1. God i love this sport.

We get the BBC commentary down under and during the race Martin Brundle said that Sebastian Vettel has said that he will do whatever it takes for a Red Bull driver to win the WDC. That can be taken as shear optimism, speaking about himself, but it could also mean if Alonso is running well enough in Abu Dhabi - meaning Vettel can't win the WDC, he'll help Webber if he's in the position to do so.

I'd say he'd leave it as late as he could bare though, last corner a la Ferrari 2002? :nice:

I think its a brilliant move by RBR to not have the team orders.... The press about them letting them race has been great for RBR exposure, even if it hasnt been positive. They have kept themselves in the spotlight, and I think a lot of fans appreciate the pure sporting approach they have taken. Now if Vettel was leading all along they may not have taken the same stance, but thats a what if. Really, after they ran into each other redbull was sort of forced to take this strategy.

Besides they wrapped up the constuctors which is where the $$ is.

I cant wait till India, I hope Hamilton takes out Alonso in the first corner, that would seem fitting for all the shit that Alonso did when he was with McLaren and the crashgate at Renault. Alonso is a great driver but he is no team player, he would never do what Massa has been doing for him.
