With my '91 325i, I would sell it tomorrow if somebody offered me a fair price for it. Now if I had an E30 M3, I would not sell that at all....too special of a car to let go of. If I never got an E30 M3, I wouldn't mind owning a Porsche again. A C2 993 would rock :D

I could sell the M next month to move on to something different for a change, or keep it for years. I change my mind all the time.

at this point for most people, I don't see how it's worth it to sell your E30 unless you really hated it. you're never going to get what you put into it (assuming you've done any work to it at all), and any car you might want to replace it with probably costs 10x as much.
I don't think my E30 will always be a daily driver though. it probably will be for a 3-5 more years, then it will be parked and driven on nice days/track, while I beat on something more common that I don't give a fuck about (maybe an E36!).Comment

I would theoretically like to keep it forever since its my first car, and I'd like to get other cars and then restore this one down the road.Comment

Until I fly over a curb trying to drift a turn....... doing enough damage that would make the repair costs more than what my car is worth
Then again, an oil change is probably more expensive than my car's worth. My car has a better use to me than what people are offering to pay for it.Erick Mahle | FullOpp Drift | YouTube

A newer car would definately cost 3 times the cost of the E30, in terms of buying it. But all I do is dump money into my car because there's always something wrong with it, and that gets annoying. Every time I fix something for a grand, the car's worth stays the same, and that is a HUGE waste of money.Originally posted by nandoat this point for most people, I don't see how it's worth it to sell your E30 unless you really hated it. you're never going to get what you put into it (assuming you've done any work to it at all), and any car you might want to replace it with probably costs 10x as much.- 2000 Audi S4 Stg 2 (sold)

you're wrong if you think you'll never have to fix anything on a new car. Plus an E30 doesn't have $500 a month payments, plus the higher costs of insurance...Originally posted by clutterbuckerA newer car would definately cost 3 times the cost of the E30, in terms of buying it. I'll never sell it. It'll be tracked until it's destroyed.
I'll stop daily driving it when I can afford a G20, Legend, Integra i like, etc. etc.
Or I grow up and become professional and can get a new 3 series with warranty.
Unless some idiot waves $7-8K in front of my face. Then maybe......Comment
