These cars are retaining they're value well - keep the mods easy so you can return it to stock should you decide to sell someday.
Wrong. They are actually gaining value and have been since like 2004. But yeah, if you are positive youre not selling it, do what you want. Im never selling mine and thats a fact. So I did what I wanted without going too far. I still have all the stock body pieces in my garage, painted when I got the car painted. Have the stock airbox, and so on.

Just stay OEM+ type stuff, don't put e46 anything in there, anything off an e46, especially the interior, will be heavy as fuck, and less than stellar build quality.
I'd go with a carbon fiber air box, lowering springs, stromung exhaust, get some BBS and lots of love, care and maintenance.
