OP, it will be easier to swap carpet than fabbing a dead pedal how you want. Also the acronym DP either means down pipe or double penetration depending on context but never does it mean dead pedal.

Called my welder friend,he came down and checked it out and said no problem. Told me he leaves for a week in a half to go do some camping and when he got back he would start on it.I said that was totally fine,time I had.
While he's gone I find the bmwpedals.com website and notice they are just a few miles from me. I emailed them and they said they would make me exactly what I wanted in a dead pedal plus a few extras. So I just decided to have them make it. Everyone happy!:)

They mount with double sided tape. But they use good double sided tape.

What Matt said is correct. Pedals are awesome and the tape sticks very well.

Shant, good job on the pedals. I want to point out that when you run this type of pedal, there's an outline on the backside of the speaker panel that shows where you need to trim it in order to fit properly. In your picture, you can see the panel doesn't quite fit anymore.
