awesome, just downloaded the instruction manual. the owner before me didnt know anything about this stuff, and it says to calibrate every 10 000 miles or twice a year. it was DEFINITELY not done.

i'll let you know how it goes,

    thanks a lot.

you also need to calibrate the sensor in megasquirt. It's under the Tools menu - Calibrate AFR curve. make sure your project is set to wideband and not narrowband..

just did it, and now im getting readings in between 2 and 3. when i revved the engine it dropped to about 1.5 for a split second and the car almost died..

its running VERY rich, the exhaust smells like gas.

        what... the fuck

you using megatune or tuner studio?

in any case, it's under the Tools menu > Calibrate AFR curve. You probably want to set it to Innovate Default.

whatever you do, don't trust your AFR gauge until you're sure it reads the same in both logworks and megatune.

                    Really?

                    That's your issue right there.

I am actually having pretty much the same issue. I have an rs4pro3 plug and play (its not by the way) megasquirt setup. I have an Innovate LC-1 wideband configured to dual wideband outputs. I have one output connected to a gauge and one to the megasquirt.

My gauge reads 12-14 AFR's and in megatune it reads like 4 or 5. I don't have the calibrate AFR curve option under tools in my version of megatune.

Oh and I tested the outputs on my LC-1 and get exactly the same voltage on both of them.

you need to calibrate the gauge in megasquirt. this is basic setup stuff, non-optional.

Thats the whole reason I bought a supposedly plug and play kit, I expected the basic set-up to be done.

I don't know where in megatune to adjust the settings with my version as it is not located under the tools menu.

you can't expect it to be calibrated to your car though. you still have to do *some* work.

tools > calibrate AFR table. If it's not there try enabling advanced options. also you need to make sure your project is set to wideband.

I am using megatune 2.25 and the MS1 Extra 029y4 project. I don't see anything like what you are describing for calibrating the o2 sensor.

I have Basic Settings>Exhaust Gas Settings. I have the EGO sensor type set to wideband and then there are things like EGO switch point, Ignition events per second and on and on.

I don't see anything else that could be used to calibrate for the o2 sensor.
