    Front License Plate?

Can you get pulled over for not having a license plate in the front even if there is no way to mount a plate in the front? And if so, would you get a fix-it ticket or just a citation?

Hmm you probably would, they would tell you to find a way to mount it. You probably wouldnt get pulled over for just your plate missing but theyll add that to the list if you get caught speeding, running red lights, etc.
I believe its a fix it ticket?
    not sure

      Fix-it.
      It's around $20.
If you have a cop-friend, they can sign it off for you easy.

I have been running my country's front plate for months now and never seen trouble, yet.
I've been pulled over also, and he checked out my car, opened the hood, and al that jazz and didn't even mention the plate.

      Shit happens though, so goodluck.

        Yess.

That's exactly what they did to me.
I was pulled over for 'speed unfit for conditions'(total bullshit, but thats another story), and they added modified exhaust, modified suspension(too low), and bald rear tires to my citation.

Saying probably invalidates whatever you have to say afterwards. I did not even bother reading it

Thanks. I just fear getting stupid tickets that I can avoid, but it seems like it shouldnt be a problem

Why is there no way to mount it? What vehicle? I see ricers occasionally run a plate on the dash/in the windscreen, although I don't know if it's fully legal. Also some of the fix-it tickets and minor fines now have massive "administrative" fees and other stuff to help the state raise money.

              Don't do this.
First of all it's illegal to put it on your dash, and it only attracts more attention than not having a front plate to begin with.

My friend with a lifted truck got pulled over for this and he literally yet jokingly asked the cop that if he didnt have it on the dash, would he of got pulled over.. The cop answered probably not.

So yea, don't mount it on the dash lol.

my 911. No license mount in the front. It came that way stock, but a friend of mine said thats illegal so....
edit: I got two license plates from the DMV when I registered the car, so Im pretty sure its required.

I've always wondered how the hell Corvette owners dealt with this problem? There's no place to mount the plate on some of their models.

We're talking about California in case anyone's reading.

@archie: lol, I've wondered the same. What's that box looking thing for in front of the vette's nose anyways?

True story, I got one one time driving my 325es bitd. At the time I had the euro bumper strip in the front,no plate holes. Went to the CHP office and prayed to god my front plate wouldnt fall off when they inspected it. I stuck it on with double sided sticky tape just to get it signed off. 16 year old punk kid thinking that I was smarter than the law. lol

The front plate is absolutely required by California law. Depending on where you hang out in the oc you might have problems. I'm thinking newport, laguna, dana point you might have an issue with the local police.

Umm.... that's what that panel on the nose of the car is. It comes off, and that's where you mount the plate.
