New Shadowline idea...

OMG, anyway...

Since it seams that most of you guys want shadow line trim so bad, why not just BUY IT(!)?

Why not find a reseller and get a GB going on the trim? I know the E34 guys did this last year and it was like $300 for the whole car.

It's not like the $10 dollar can can't make it look almost as good anyway. I'd say 75% of the quality for 3% of the price. Makes sense to spray it when you look at it that way doesn't it. If i drove an M, I might not have trouble spending that on a peice of trim because I'd want the best but I drive an eta (which I still love) so therefore why bother spending 300 on it.

Removing the trim to paint it isn't hard at all. I did mine this spring using SEM trim paint; I didn't primer or scuff the trim at all, I just cleaned it up and painted it. There is only one small chip on one of the doors (which I could remove and repaint in 5 minutes, easy), the rest looks factory. I want to do the rest of the doors and other black parts since they are faded, I've already done the door handles and rear valance, which look beautiful. My is lip needs a respray too, I curbed it once and it's got a bit of a sandblasted look to it now (this is why I choose to leave it black, is lips just take too much of a beating to keep it painted nice).

I wonder if they have vinyl CF window tint too. Some light looking windows would be sweet. Could make some euro look tail lights too.

Just put that trim over your window and then you have CF windows!!!

it's not that hard, and it turns out just as nice if you do it right.
