You'll find a lot of '84-'85 cars without them, also 318is's.

      Overseas you'll find a lot w/o sunroofs

Non-sunroof E30s are somewhat rare in the States. The only one I ever saw was an ex-factory Gruppe A racer. Now that was sweet 8)

EDIT: I thought only 318's were available without sunroofs. Should have mentioned that..

Also EDIT: I know those crazy europeans hate cool things like sunroofs and power windows, so that doesn't surprise me either :)

This car is listed as an 87 eta. Strange.

So I'm not crazy. This was a rather rare find, an e30 without a roof. Good. Call me nuts, but I'd love to see US production numbers, I'll bet this was rare.

It's just an E30 without a sunroof. As you mentioned, a lot of 318's (early and late model) were without sunroofs. 325 bodies are no different...

But how many have you personally seen? How many were actually made? It's the first I've seen. Just thought it was unusual, bordering on rare.

It's not really that rare. Numerous E30's on this forum are without sunroofs, and I've seen 2 or 3 different E30's in person without them. One of them being boom-monkee's 91 318iS.

I would suffocate without my sunroof.

                              I don't have a sunroof either.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.
