^Yea, most freeways don't have real fun corners for the e30. 70MPH on a long sweeper isn't exactly fun to me. Plus my e30 is loud as hell. You guys are crazy.

im also averaging 26-29 mpg highway. not bad for a 24 year old car. I also have a 2.7i build 4000 miles ago too.

May be around the block for now. When i'll be done with it, it will be reliable enough for cross country road trips.

How comfortable are you guys with driving your car 1,000+ miles on a road trip? I wanted to venture down from northern california, to san diego, and I'd like to know what kind of preventative measures I can take, or what I could expect. Thank you

I drove the cabrio 2200 miles regularly from L.A. to Morelia Mexico several times. A well maintained e30 will take you anywhere.

how far do I have to go?? seriously, I'd take mine anywhere, anytime, any distance.

Been using as my DD for almost a year, and nothing has left me anywhere near stranded, or even caused more than a minor discomfort (blown ac hose on a 110 degree day)
I saved 15% on my Bimmer parts by switching to ...

I've driven mine from here to our cabin in Idaho a couple times. I bought it on my way up there in Colorado and drove it up to Idaho and back to kansas, water pump went out in Colorado on the way back, but it should have been replaced by the PO, and if I would have had more time/had the car inspected I would have had it fixed when I bought it.
