Its pretty hard to get 30mpg stock. Since you got the 4.10lsd. your cruising at about 3-3.5k around 70mph. I was pretty compulsive when i was driving my 318is on long trips and managed 27-28mpg with tires at 35psi. calculating by fillup to fillup

fwiw I just drove from Chicago to Purdue at speeds between 70 and 80 mph almost the entire way and managed 28 mpg on the turbo setup that is only about halfway through being tuned, and I had about 20 minutes of idling in traffic and maybe 20 more of driving in the city...Its pretty hard to get 30mpg stock.
