I'd rather just repaint the front end once I get where I'm going.
Why? Do you hate bras that much?

Why don't you just cover the entire front end in low tack tape like someone suggested a while back?

It'd look ghetto but I think people would understand if you explained it.

rock chips are inevitable, but I'd still be pissed off if some dickwad at the pump nailed my car with the nozzle. any of you who say you wouldn't be are either lying or don't give a shit about their car.

that said my car IS a giant rock chip. my poor paint, and windsheild! oh well, shit happens... ;)

            a. because like a bra, that would look ghey.

            b. because the valance and lip both need to be repainted anyways. They catch alot of shit down there.

            c. both fenders are going to be replaced, and rolled properly prior to being painted. My current ones have caught the tires several times, and made the vertical lip wavy. I don't like it.

I would go head and go to small claims court and sue them for all the times you had to deal with Shell. Go get em tiger.

                Alright so. Little update here.

The local franchise Shell, and thier insurance company shot me down etc. Dead end short of legal recourse there.

I sent a letter describing the incident, basicly my first post in this thread edited to be a bit more PC.

I just got email back from them.

Expressing disappointment with the service i've got, and assuring me its a isolated incident.

They want 2 written estimates faxed to them, along with the shell address, pictures etc. So they can take care of everything.

I won't be able to get it repaired here in town which sucks, but I will be getting my money.

WOW, $325 for repair basically the paint ( re paint I must say) ?? That's ridiculous expensive!

I would repaint that thing for like 90$ includes taxes over here with PPG UrhetaneS(sp?) Paint in cabin paint!

Automotive Shopps in USA = WAY expensive!

                      Shit Jordan, that sucks man.

Hope it gets sorted out. :-\

If you were stoppin by Boise, I'd love to check out the car. But it looks like you're going the opposite direction. ;)

                      Let us know what happens?

I'd be pissed too - but since my car is so old and the paint is far from perfect, I'd suck it up and move on. If I were you though, I'd definately fight for the money!
