I think you have a beautiful car there. Henna is amazing. Like everyone else said don't do anything you will regret later on, it will probably be harder to come by one exactly the way you like again.

Savin up for a DD seems like a good idea

Convince yourself that you can afford it and are a master mechanic. Scrimp and cut corners at every turn, and when something trivial breaks, ruin the car and part it out.

Or, be smart and sell it, buy something you can live with. As Rob said, it's a car.

i agree with every1 else though, store the m3, and get a POS beater to DD...if yer not DD the m3, there wont be much upkeep, and u will be able to afford to keep it. even if u have to ride public transit for a couple months to save up for a POS, its worth it...just my $0.02.
Come on man, you can't even afford to paint your 'body kit'. How can you afford an E30 M3?

I never knew a mod list was a requirement for driving a car?

Keep it and if you can't afford to maintain it and mod it.......then mod it and skimp on maintance, it's what 80% of R3V does anyway.

skimping is exactly what i dont want to do, and is the reason why i would sell the car. but im going to keep it and do it right.

You're bad at reading sarcasm. You don't need a mod list to drive a car, and if you cannot both maintain and mod....then who gives a shit. Just maintain a stock M3.

A stock M3 tears the fuck out of a modded 325is any day of the week in my book.

Personally, I would only consider having an E30 M3 if I had the following...

                        1. A secure place to store it

                        2. A primary daily driver since the E30 M3 is not cheap to own

                        3. Have a good enough income to properly maintain it

Last week I was by a friend's shop and there was an E30 M3 in there with the head pulled and a number of other things missing from the engine....it was being prepped for removal. I asked my friend "what happend here?" He said the owner wasn't mindful of the oil level.....ran it low and cooked two main bearings at the crank. The motor has roughly 175K miles on it already so its going to be completely rebuilt with some mods. Estimated cost: $8K+. If you're a student with a very limited budget, you don't want a repair like this rearing its ugly head unexpectedly. Get something you can afford and be happy with it. One day when you're established with a career and making a good living, go out and get an E30 M3, or a 911, or a 944 Turbo. They're all expensive to own.....but rewarding as well.

                        Just my

i can and did afford to paint my "body kit". i have been plannin on painting it black since i picked up those pieces, why do u think i had my wheels done gloss black. just b/c u dont like it doesnt mean i dont. u think those pieces were high gloss black when i got them? if so, please show me a stock e30 that is gloss black. they aint no fuckin rattle can job, these were done at a professional body shop.
i could afford an e30 m3 rite now, the only thing keeping me from buying it is that i have my datsun taking up my only garage space at my house, and i wouldnt dare park an m3 on the street where i live.

BTW: i dont work for any1, i have my own company, and i am 100% sure i make more money than you. just because i dont dump tons of money into my old shitbox e30, doesnt mean i dont have it....

Wow, that would have been quite tempting for me to trade. I have always wanted an m3, and am considering selling my car this summer once its finished, and buy an m3... we'll see i guess.
