    I got hit...

    Hey guys-
Well, it happened. I got hit yesterday.
Yes, I was in my M3.
    No its not Totalled.
Yes I need a lot of work to the back-end.
Yes I will be repainting at least both quarters and the roof so my car will all be fresh paint.
I need a few parts, like a rear bumper, left side smoked MHW taillight (early style of course), possibly a bumper core and some bumper shocks.

Here's what happened. I was sitting stopped at a light in the front of the intersection for about 1 minute. Cars started to gather behind me and then all of a sudden I hear screeching tires and I look in the mirror to see my worst fear comming at me.
A large USPS delivery truck (UPS truck sized) hit a sebring convertable, which hit a '95 honda accord, and then another 01 accord and then me. I only have rear-end damage as I was in the front of the pack.
THe first 2 cars are totalled for sure, the 01 accord and my car are fixable. No major injuries, just some whiplash.
I am upset right now, but I know I will come out ahead in the end of this one.

For those of you who are waiting on splitters from me- I will do my best to make as many as possible today and throughout the week. I am a bit sore and my neck hurts a little, but I should be able to fulfill all your orders in time before my trip. Sorry for any delays this may cause you guys.

    PICS:
    Wrinkle in quarter panel

    Broken MHW Taillight

    Trunk Floor Damage

    More of the Trunk Floor

    Pass side is pretty stright...

    Rear Bumper from Pass Side

Underside, everything is pretty stright, just the bumper trim is bent up...

Trunklid operates perfectly, but you can see the severity of the damage in these shots...

Its all repairable, I am just upset. I had the car looking so clean and now this shit happens. :(

Wow man, that sucks so bad, you have to work on the roof too?

Get everything you can out of UPS. And don't worry about the splitters, i'm sure people will understand.

Only one quarter-panel is tweaked, but the roof is the only part of my car I havn't repainted and the clearcoat sucks. I want to get everything painted at once so it all matches.

And its USPS not UPS... I will them them for the damage to my car, you needn't worry about that...

Sorry to hear that. Don't worry about my splitter, take care of yourself (and the M of course) first. My car is in the shop right now anyways. It's sad to see things like this happen. At least it is fixable.

that's awful! I nearly had the same experience a couple weeks ago on my way to work. stopped at the bottom of an offramp waiting for the light, and some POS comes flying down and is barely able to stop.. I was prepared to run the light if I had to avoid him (there wasn't any traffic). hope everything works out!

Sue USPS for all they are worth.

IMO I would find another car. The damage to the trunk is more then I could live with... unless you plan on chopping the whole ass end of the car off, and welding on a new one.. which will still never even be close to as good as it was before the accident...

The damage is not as severe as these pics make it look. I want to go out and remove the bumper and hook up my come-a-long to it right now to pull it stright again as I hate to see it tweaked like this, but I need the insurance company to see it first and have the body shop estimate it for me so I can get the most money out of it, then I will do as much as I can myself and have the car repainted at the same shop that fixed it last time 2 years ago as their work is *FLAWLESS*.
