It may be easier to just have long wire leads, assuming you are going to use the 30amp power from the cig lighter, and just make it so that you can move the heater box from place to place.... Need heat on your feet, put it on under your legs. Heat for your face you could set it above the cluster on the dash. Defrost, just turn it around!

Too complicated! I say why not have several fans placed thru the interior (one to the dash, one to the footwell, and one for the dash vents).
clearly, this is the best idea out there.

those fans might put out 25cfm after they go through the heater core. maybe, but most likely not. the stock one is probably closer to 500cfm (or more) at full tilt.Comment

A proper fan would be the 12v marine blower. It has volume, and pushes with good pressure.

stock setup or i'd use the fan lee showed to drive heat from the trans tunnel into the stock vents. take a look at this pic:
