why not buy a US spec parts car and swap (or pay to have swapped if needed) all the neccesary parts? then you can simply swap whatever parts you want back at a later date. get some us spec bumpers so you don't have those nasty repeaters drilled into your fenders.
of course it's probably MUCH simpler to get a car from canada. I live just across the border so I might try that some day. there are no inspections or emissions checks here so no worries about that. they don't look at your car when you have it registered or insured either.

I know this is an OLD thread. But this is a serious question. Anyone have any info on any of these importation/federalization companies? I know an article came out in one of the Roundels, I believe about the whole process and someone importing their E34 3.8L ///M5. ANy idea which month issue? Thank you. Hey at least I used the "search" feature.
