      stupid thread. :P

dont build a car based solely on "rare" and hard to find parts. Verbal BJ's from internet kids over that shit isnt worth the wasted bandwidth.

Build a car you want, you like, and you can DRIVE.
make it an mtech, and get RZ's like me... just dont paint it black... or Silver... 8)

FOcker, when I'm back from the world of cows and canadians(god help you f'in cannuks) we need to have a gtg.
      Below the radar...

            You're such a shithead :)

I don't want to put rare shit on it just because it's rare. It has to look good and be something I like. And with all the friggin E30's out there, to help stand out a bit.

I like my glass sunroof. That's rare. I like the headlight wipers. They're rare. I like the mtech 1 kit. Aside from you, I'll probably be the only one in a 50-100 mile radius with one. And collecting rare and hard to find pieces is like any other collector - rare pieces create attention, make people ask questions. I just don't feel like blending in and doing the same mods everyone else is doing. Hence why my car won't be black - like yours :)

As for those rare 15" wheels, I do like those, and almost bought a set, but something doesn't look right about them. I love the lip they have, but I don't like the spoked design...something very audi about them.

Chris, when are you back from cowhampshire? GTG asap.

something that is rare in the states as far as from what ive seen, is alluminum motor mount brackets. I havenbt seen a us model with them yet. all euro models came with them.

If I wasn't stuffing an M/S50 in there, I'd try and get a set :)

How hard are those wipers to find?

From what I've heard they're easy to find. Working ones, however, are pretty damn difficult.

 would it be bad if I said I'd still take a pair even if they didn't work? :)

But seriously. How did they operate to begin with? Did they just come on when you turned your regular wipers on, or did they have a seperate button/switch? Never seen one before - hence my question.

                      .
IIRC they were turned on when you sprayed the windshield washers. Not too sure on that though.

Hm. What the heck was the point of headlight wipers anyways?

I know the audis, mercs etc had spray nozzles up there too, so that made sense to turn the wipers on when you sprayed your regular windshield, as youd spray the headlights too, and theyd get cleaned.

Did ours have a spray setup as well?

I know I don't see that many E30s at all on the road, and if I do they're all run down pieces of shit and my clean car stands out anyways.

nothing too special about them though.

                                Seriously...

And as much as I hate the headlight wipers anyways (they are bulky and tacky), at least make them work if you are putting them on.

Let's drive fast and have fun.
