I used to have a 2-door '67 A body. Man, the things I'd do to that 225 slant six with my current knowledge. :D

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

If you could find a aluminum block slant six. But i think it's the smaller cube one. 198 i think it was, i dont recall though..., then get the factory hyperpack intake and put on it with your efi and forced induction. Then you may have something that will run. But dear god those slant sixes buzz like hell when they are all done up!

You know what i find funny about these type of threads. Is that this is a BMW forum and this guy got more help in a short amount of time about a Mopar then someone would of if they asked about a BMW. I kind of noticed that on a few car sites lol.

I'd stick to the iron block in the interest of strength. They were designed from the get go to be all aluminum which is why they are so tough..

Check out some of the cars on slantsix.org; there are some guys there with turbo slants that put v8's to shame. It obviously costs big money to do it, though. It's a fun little engine as long as it's in a small car (A-bodies).......what's amazing is that they actually had a slant six option for Chargers.
I had one in a 72 Dart, and a mechanic once drove it from his shop to my work (5 miles) after replacing the manifold gaskets........with no coolant; engine still ran fine up to the day I sold it. :)Jason

My 71 dart had a slant six. With factory ice cold air!!! I think it had 78,000miles on it. The car was butterscotch with black int and top, and a tuff wheel! The car ran fine on flat ground, but would slow down on a hill lol. Just that when the A/C was on. Well.... It wasnt pretty lol. But i took care of that with a built 360 :D
