I have a problem when I have to pay the RMV sales tax on an E30 that I bought for say $800 and they base tax on the much higher KBB

true! bought it for $250 and paid tax as if it was worth $1600. (then fixed it up and its worth roughly $2000)

I am good on my setup:

I first gutted all the old OEM wire and ran all new. I was replacing the dash, so I was like what the hell. 12g speaker wire, 4g power wire to amp and cap.

Pioneer DEH-P4900ib, (x4)6" 3/4 Infinity speakers(cut kick panels and rear holes), Hifonics BX1205D, (x1)Infinity Kappa perfect 12.1SV, tsunami cap 1.2 farad. Then looked up the specs on the box suggested for the sub and made it from 1" MDF with a 2" front port(1/4 box fiber filling) glued&screwed, silicone internal sealing.

I used to do local comps but I guess I grew out of loud bass. Sold all that shit and made that^ Sounds amazing no matter the type of music.
