Yeah we emailed back and forth about it for a little bit. Don't remember the outcome of that, though. And I never even thought to return it. It never occurred to me that I could, I just kind of assumed chips were non-returnable for some reason. :p

Doesn't matter now, though, the car is in E30 heaven.

It's nice to know that a few years later, you're still willing to help a cutomer.

I like every customer to be happy with what they bought, so try hard to make sure they ar satisfied. As long as I'm around, I'm willing to help someone that bought a legit chip.

I bought and installed a chip from MarkD in my 91 318is and it made a world of difference in the top end. I'm also getting close to 29mpg in mixed daily driving.

I bought a legit MarkD chip for my first E30 (ETA, from a friend not direct). I noticed a huge difference. Didnt feel faster per-se, but it was so much smoother. I might have even got better gas mileage. Anywho, Im running a Turner copy in my M42 318is now and I've been chasing down phantom problems (PO installed it, I dont have a spare OEM one). This thread has me thinking it may be because of the chip.... Its an Ebay chip. Hell, it might even be a MarkD clone. I dunno. Will check on it this weekend. If its a clone of yours Mark, I'll ship it to you if its worth anything to you to inspect. I support open-source development, but I also support the little guy too. GL!

No, only because I spent a lot of time with this issue last week and my contract work fell behimd. I have very tight deadlines and one is today. I'll be re-visiting this soon and will have to call PayPal again. I have not heard back from eBay.

Thanks for posting. I'll tell you one reason that you may have a problem with the clone. Many of these hackers and cloners use a cheap programmer that sells for $50, but often does not program the chip properly. There can easily be mis-programmed bits. I've read a few clones and have seen this problem first-hand. It really does not pay to use one of these clone chips in most cases. If you send yours to an address I can provide, I can check it out and determine what is causing the problem. Just email for more info.
