It just feels awesome. Idk how an "i" feels, but for being the slow 325, its feels pretty powerful. Alot faster than my old 240 and Celica. It hits the rev limiter at like 5200? Is it suppose to?

Yea 1200 is steep. Its hard to find a rust free car here tho! So hard. You guys are so picky. Haha. If I ever found a 240 in this condition it would be a steal, but no not this BMW. Yes, its has plastic bumpers, but they each have a crack. :( and this thing isn't even low and I've scraped the front valence like 3 times already. Grr.

I want to take some, but I need to wash it! The birds seem to aim for the bright red car.
Maybe I can pick up a new seat this week to replace my cracked one. :) It's missing 2 studs for the driver seat tho. The ones in the back are just gone so I need to get something to hold it down. I feel like I'm going to do a backflip every time I take off fast.

Yep. The ETA and SuperETA motors had that low redline for economy. The I motors carry further, have less low end torque, and are a lot punchier in the midrange. Especially after a chip.

Not really. All 240's should be around that price when stock. They're nothing special, at all.... There's tons of them around. Everyone just wants a bazillion dollars thanks to drift tax...

There are no studs in the rear, The rears are bolts, the fronts are studs that pop out.

Be glad you got out of the 240 world. I've owned 2 S13's, 1 S14, and they are nothing compared to the E30. E30's are cheaper, plentiful, much more performance for buck, cheaper and easier to maintain, and look a million times better than either chassis. Not to mention they're so balanced and communicate the road to you with so much clarity it's insane..

I will never, ever own a 240 again. Last one I had got chopped in half, flipped on to it's side, torn down, and planted into my S12.

                I Love my E30's and my S12.

I am in Ottawa. Probably an hour or 2 from you. I moved it last night before it got totally flooded again.

True dat. Whenever one come up for a reasonable price it always sells right away. Thanks for info on the seat bolts.

I do like this car a lot but 3 problems need attention. 1. Head tick, I think I will do the "i" head swap if it gets worse. 2. Rear end/ tranny/ driveshaft.....idk yet but it clunks in the rear end when shifting into 1st and 2nd. It also has a vibration from 2-3k rpms when accelerating in 1st and 2nd. Sometimes 3rd. 3. The floor behind my seats is always soaked under the carpet after rain.

It's an M20. They're mechanical lifters. They tick. Chances are your lifters just need an adjustment. These cars aren't like the KA with the buckets. The sound your looking for with an M20 is a well oiled sewing machine sound.

The rear end clunk and shift could the subframe bushings. Easy peasy, but time consuming. Other thing is possibly diff bushing.

The vibration in the driveshaft will most likely be attributed to the center support bearing. Another pretty easy thing to replace. If your exhaust cooperates.

Soaked carpet is probably a leak in the sunroof seal.

AH the tick is so annoyingly loud. Does this car have the sunroof tube thing that gets clogged up? Or is it only certain models? Oh, 1 more thing, how rare is the zender front valence on this thing? Or is it even rare. The very first picture on the first page shows it pretty good.
