I have yet to meet a mini that will even keep pace with mine. I know they are out there, but I have not seen one yet

Smart cars are RWD. I'm not opposed to the turbo 3 if its more efficient for the daily commute. At this ponit BMW doesn't even offer a 4 cyl in the US. A 3 cyl $30k+ car is going to be a very hard sell.
