Well , not to go on and on but to start off my post , i recently bought a 1989 bmw 325i off craigslist for 670 bucks . I already bought rims , springs , paintjob , tints , etc . All cosmetic wise I need to do is two front seats . Anywho , My question for everybody is now which path should I take engine wise . My budget isnt too high , so i dont think i can afford an s50/s52 swap at the moment . my plan is to go on boost, i actually really want to be able to be on boost and have an hks bov :D . The engine in it now is the stock m20 , the car is bone stock guys .. it has a intake filter , that is it . Should I try and just get a m50/m52 swap and swap out the stock tranny aswell? how about if i wanted to build onto the stock m20 , Which FIRST things should I buy for the car to first get it running hard .. first headers , intake , exchaust ? or change the intake manifold first ? change injectors ? what first little things like that can i change to show aggressive increase in HP .. sorry im noob to this and for the life story . =)

^^^ this would be the cheapest route. M20's are good solid motors and when there boosted they can be very fast. If you wanna spend a little more then a boosted m50 can be Extremely fast and reliable. I'd go for the 24v swap if it were me.Comment
