It lacks some of the "feedback" you get from hydraulic systems...but it has a very quick, direct, and nicely weighted steering rack. Strangely enough, people who drive my car have no idea it's electric steering until I tell them... (but I DD mine, and am picky enough to realize the difference)

At the limit, you have to listen to what the rigid chassis is telling you more than the steering wheel. It's truly a driver's car

I want to put that motor in my 2002 race car.

      because race car.

      I can't build an M10 to make 240bhp and last a month for $10k.
I can buy S2000 motors for half that.

For the rest of the year though I am going to be focused on S2000 autocross.
How common are the oil burning issues during prolonged VTEC use?

Thinking about getting an AP1 when I sell the Italian bitch goddess in a couple months.

I know an old jap tuner that picked up a sub 100k s2000 at a police auction for ~3000$. Gave me a ride in it & I can dig it for a weekend autocrosser. Honestly have more fun in his ae86 and his b13 sentra on hoosiers tho. Only mods he has done was shock/springs & dynamat on the intake box doesnt really need more than that.

Yes, I loved test driving this car! I had not intention to buy, but wanted to thrash it around. The salesman that rode with me wasn't very happy once it was warmed up and we were on some nice back roads, but oh well, this car loves to wind out and the shifter truly has that "rifle-bolt" feel that I will never forget. At the time, the used one I drove was $20K, and worth it in my estimation.
Sometimes the styling just seems too bland, but whatever, it belongs on the short list.
