You're right - I have posted lots of CL disasters here lately. How about something we all LIKE to see?

What are your thoughts on this 140k mile 1990 325i for about $2k? Seems like it just needs some basketweaves & we're good to go! Can't see if there's a rust situation or not from the pics, but she's got lots of new parts.

Over $1000 recently spent in new parts:

New clutch
New brake lines
New rear rotors
New rear brake calipers
New exhaust system (manifold to tail pipe, includes new cat converter)
New battery
New Console
Original BMW factory wheels with 4 new wheel center caps with BMW decal
New front and rear BMW hood badges
New sunroof handle
Radio has been replaced.

Interior is in good condition. Car has some minor rust and a few digs. Nothing that can't be dealt with. A little body work, a fresh coat of paint and you've got a great ride. No inspection necessary in New Jersey.

If rust isn't disastrous that seems like a steal.

I am keeping an eye out for local to me E30's. DDing the truck everyday is getting a tad bit boring. 2k for the car and another 1-2k in maintenance would totally be worth it for me.

All decent e30's in TX are expensive unfortunately. Though it does help when you go to sell them...

No real details, but if it runs, has little/manageable/no rust and if you can get it for sub-2k it might be worth a shot. Was searching in the Little Rock craigslist, so I assume it's somewhere in central Arkansas.

^^ Front end looks terribly misaligned with no mention of any accidents or reasoning (i.e. "I dont know how to reinstall the front bumper, etc.). I'd check for front end damage.

If it has that, wouldn't bother messing with it.

Could be. The hood, bumper, and valance do seem to be from another car.
