The only vintage radar detector that was a dealer option was located in the ash tray. I have one! Not many dealers offered that since radar detectors were illegal in Mass!

you mean that thing on top of the dash? I only know this from 02s, something to do with smog?

There's a guy who sells parts for converting these to oilpressure/oiltempgauges, maybe that's what the M3 has? Although there's already a gauge for the temp in the best of places.

I'm trying to find another clean (not rusty) e36 for a decent price but it's proving to be impossible, at least where I live. Why are e36 M3s all expensive now? Fuckkkkk... I want a clean one so bad:

                        Then there's this 328is for $9k:
                        https://www.ebay.com/itm/1996-BMW-3-...YAAOSwL-9cbOVK

So what's the better buy, a clean but still expensive 328is, or pay more for a M3?

It's like there's nothing in between the really nice expensive stuff and complete basket cases.

I daily drive a e36 m3 in the good weather months and find it to be a great mix of old and new at the current prices I would drive both an e36 and e46 m3 before buying either one
