My old SVT Focus recently popped up on CL. Looks the same but they blew up the motor and replaced it with a non-SVT motor. Not a chance in hell that car will run right. Not to mention they did an exact copy and paste of my for sale ad from 2 years ago and much of the maintenance list is irrelevant since the original engine was destroyed. I had a feeling the kid would destroy the car and he did. Comparing the SVT Zetec to a regular Zetec is like comparing an S50 to an M50. Structurally very similar but very different.

So I emailed them posing as a seller and asked why it didn't have the correct valve cover and got this...



I ran that supercharger kit for 120K miles trouble free and the SVT's bottom end has forged rods. I feel bad for whoever buys this train wreck.

Holy shit I wish this was near me! $600 for a decent looking shell with a fairly clean interior is a steal.

That guy is a dick for trying to scam buyers into buying that swap.

found an 88 325iS on Craigslist and went and picked it up for 500$. It needed a fuel filter. It had 125k on the clock and the interior is amazing. it just needs a little touchup paint on the passenger side. I'm stoked!

It's an absolute down grade and takes away the majority of what an SVT is from a regular Focus. I called him out via email and told him if he didn't represent the car as it actually is I would flag the ad.
